We, the Board of the ELEA, propose a change of heart, mind and action to dismantle any form of existing structure of discrimination on our Board and in our ministry. We condemn any form of discrimination or harassment based on color, gender, race, ethnicity, social or socio-economic status, sexual orientation, gender expression, or physical or intellectual ability. We desire to:
- Establish and ensure sustained authentic diversity on the ELEA Board going forward,
- Model diversity and anti-racism as core to our values and mission as a ministry of the ELCA,
- Reflect the staff and students we serve,
- Become more aware, be intentional, and be kept accountable for our actions.
